Meet the Carlson Construction Staff

Founder and President

George Carlson founded Carlson Construction in 1976 and built his first home in 1978. Born and raised in Chicago, he completed his high school education in Connecticut. Afterwards, he graduated from Gettysburg College with a degree in Sociology. It was shortly afterwards that George entered the construction industry in carpentry, foundation work, and electrical work. Over 30 years later, George has built over 300 homes and enjoyed being the President of the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Harrisburg for numerous years. His chief hobby is sailing but he has 8 other hobbies which are his 8 grandchildren!
